Description

Fior di Latte “Flower of the Milk” refers to cow’s milk mozzarella that is reminiscent of fresh mozzarella handmade in the Italian countryside. Our Fior di Latte is a semi-soft, rindless, white cheese made in Ontario from pasteurized cow’s milk, specially selected bacterial culture, microbial enzyme, and salt, and has a milk fat content of 20% and moisture content of 52%.

Shaped into round orb-like pieces weighing approximately 250g each which are affectionately known as Rotondino “Round and Plump”, our Fior di Latte has a delectably mild and tangy flavour, creamy-white colour and firm yet springy texture.

While excellent in salads, Fior di Latte is equally at home on gourmet pizzas, pasta dishes and in other oven-based recipes because of its superb melting characteristics.
