Hand-crafted in small batches at the on-farm cheese plant in New Hamburg, ON; Mountainoak Horseradish is a traditional Dutch style, Gouda cheese with ground horseradish added during the cheesemaking process. After the cheese is infused with select, Ontario grown, ground horseradish root, the aging process then begins to mellow the sharp tang of the horseradish which in turn creates a delicious heat that is tamed by the creamy interior paste of the Gouda. Pair with a Riesling, and serve with smoked meats and crackers. (Available by special order).
