One of our most popular varieties, Mountainoak Wild Nettle is a creamy Gouda combined with wild nettle. The salty, buttery notes of the gouda compliment the herbal, earthy flavour of the wild nettles to create an exceptional taste experience, and it’s no accident that this cheese won first place at the 2023 Royal Winter Fair in the Flavoured Cheese w/added particulate solids category. An excellent dessert cheese, Mountainoak Wild Nettle is great for cooking, and melts beautifully. Delicious when served with Creel & Gambrel Summer Sausage, prosciutto, or bresaola, Mountainoak Wild Nettle also pairs well with a sparkling wine, dry rose Champagne, or a wheat beer.
