Mattagami Chèvre

Description

Made from pasteurized goat’s milk sourced in the Kapuskasing vicinity, Mattagami Chèvre is a
new twist on an old favourite! It is produced in the same way as the Mattagami and is a goat’s
milk cheddar of sorts. Aged from four to seven months to achieve its complexity of flavours, the
Mattagami Chèvre is white in colour, semi-firm, with a slightly tangy taste which pairs well with
fresh ingredients such as crisp apples and vegetables.
An excellent melter, Mattagami Chèvre makes a fantastic grilled cheese sandwich when topped
with our Smokehouse Country Bacon.
Absent of any pungency or goatiness typically associated with most rind-ripened goat cheeses,
Mattagami Chèvre pairs well with a chilled amber ale or a Pinot Noir.
